The Mistletoe Promise

Image
The Mistletoe Promise (2016) - Hallmark Elise (Jamie King) is a sad, heartbroken Travel Agency owner who just doesn't like Christmas that much anymore.  We see that quite clearly as the extremely oppressive ragtag caroling band at the food court, a group of people who like to get up all in your space while you are trying to eat, annoys her to no end.  And me.  And everybody.  Super annoying.  Sitting a little further down the way at this food court is Nick (Luke Macfarlane), a hard working lawyer who also doesn't like Christmas all that much.  Nick rescues Elise from those caroling terrorists, the two get to talking and soon realize they could help each other out a bit.   Nick is up for partner at his law firm, but bossman is big on family and Nick doesn't even have a girlfriend.  Elise has been divorced from her EXTREMELY douchey husband for four years, but he is still her partner in this business and constantly brings the woman he dumped he...

Christmas in Rome

Christmas in Rome (2019) - Hallmark By Lisa Sue First, a quick disclaimer: Unlike the other movies in Chris’s blog, I make no attempt to watch these movies in their entirety. There are many reasons for this. Once you watch a few, most of the movies start to blend together. And due to the very formulaic nature of them, negates the need to actually watch all 90 mins. And lastly because Hallmark is now playing these movies 24/7 (as they did back in July, to cheer us up in a pandemic) I don’t have the mental resources or capacity to actually watch all of them. They are coming at me fast and furious, a different movie every 2 hours! I am an addict, who has Hallmark going on in the background all day and night, and thus catch enough endings to have some thoughts. Thoughts I was informed I should write down, to help curb my addiction. And also reach out to see if anyone else is in this same predicament. I mean, I can’t be the only one succumbing to this barrage, this onslaught of Christma...

Christmas Unwrapped

Christmas Unwrapped (2020) - Lifetime It’s a new Christmas season, in the year of 2020 which is the worst year of most of our lives, and while my plan was to watch and mock Romantic Christmas movies all year round, I’ve been running for my life from Maskless Zombies with Rights trying to cough on me since about April.   It’s been touch and go, and they are still looking for me, but we got Christmas Movies to talk about dangit!   And we are going to start this season with Lifetime’s Christmas Unwrapped. Charity (Amber Stevens West) is career driven, Christmas ambivalent reporter for what I am guessing is the fictional equivalent of the New York Post.   While heading to this job with her bestie and roomie Tisha (Cherion Drakes), she runs into the dashingly handsome, perpetually grinning Erik Gallagher (Marco Grazzini).   Erik is unflinchingly charming, hitting this girl with all his best stuff but alas to no avail. No worries though as fate will intervene in...
